Our Church in Church Lane, Oxted will remain closed until
further notice; but our Sunday Services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings will continue to be held online via Zoom.

Our Reading Room is situated in the town centre and is open to ALL at the following opening times:

Bibles, Bible Concordances, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other books published by the Christian Science Publishing Society are for sale, as well as:
- the Christian Science Sentinel - a weekly magazine,
- the Christian Science Journal - a monthly publication,
- the Christian Science Quarterly
- the weekly print edition of The Christian Science Monitor.
There is also a Lending Library.
There is a Study Room where you can pray, read or use our computer to research the various websites on Christian Science or 'Concord' for Bible references as well as a search program for specific
subjects/articles in the available back numbers of Christian Science periodicals.
The Librarian on duty will be very happy to talk to you and answer questions.

Health and Safety Risk Assessment for Reading Room to Comply with Current
Government Guidelines. (19th July 2020)
- A five step Health and Safety sign is in the window, signed by the Chairman of the
Board.
- A sign with a pair of feet as a place to stand when queuing for entry, is placed
outside the doorway, slightly to one side to allow for a people to exit safely.
- Only three people to be in the Reading Room at one time. The Librarian, plus one
person in the front desk area and one in the back quiet room.
- People must keep two meters apart.
- Hand sanitizer is placed just inside the door with a notice requesting people to
use on entry.
- A plastic chair is placed on the right 2 meters away from the Librarian’s chair.
This is wiped with Sanitizer after anyone has sat down. Fabric chairs have a pine cone put on each so people cannot sit down.
- Anyone wanting to look at a book, Journal, Sentinel, or leaflet to be asked to
sanitize hands before doing so and pick the book themselves. If not purchasing, put it back.
- All doors to be kept open, if at all possible (subject to weather), i.e. front
entrance door, door to quiet study room, kitchen door and outside back door. This is to allow for extra ventilation.
- A sign is placed on the kitchen door “Toilet Not in
Use”.
- Face masks must be worn by visitors to the Reading Room, as from July 24th (unless there is an exemption under the guidelines).The Reading Room Librarian volunteer does not have to wear a face mask. This is
optional.
